P-28: Bibiliotherapy as an Intervention For At-Risk Elementary School Students

4:30 p.m. – 5:20 p.m.

In this paper, bibliotherapy will be explored by the presenter as a potential social emotional learning Tier 1, 2, an 3 intervention for a small, public performing arts elementary school in Lompoc, California. It will benefit participants by exposing them to different book series that have been used by various staff members and potential impact on at-risk populations. Teacher attitudes to social emotional learning strategies and tools are also explored.
