P-27: Inclusive Sex Education for a New Generation
1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.

Inaccurate and biased sex education can lead to negative outcomes throughout adolescence, continuing into adulthood. This paper presentation will review prevention and intervention strategies within a three-tiered system of supports, including reviews of evidence-based interventions, recommendations for meeting the needs of all youth, and implications for practice and research. Practitioners will learn how they can play a pivotal role in promoting a positive and inclusive environment in providing sex education, while helping students develop healthy behaviors.
