M-13 Assessing Dyslexia in Spanish Speaking English-Learners

This presentation will cover information on characteristics of Spanish speaking English-Learners as it relates to reading and the identification of dyslexia. In California, Assembly Bill 1369 now requires certain dyslexia related mandates that include districts to be informed of and conduct regular early screening of this reading disorder. Practical application of dyslexia assessment as well as assessment tools for this population will be covered. Attendees will gain knowledge of resources for their practice.
