W-16: Multi-Tiered System of Supports – Serving ALL Kids in California

This introductory presentation on Multi-Tiered system of Supports (MTSS) will take a retrospective on CASPs initial forays into supporting students through Response to Intervention to the implementation of the California’s Scale Up MTSS Statewide (SUMS) initiative utilizing the SWIFT Center model out of the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education. The presentation will provide information on one District’s endeavors to incorporate the academic and behavioral/social emotional aspects of the full MTSS framework across a unified system. Morgan Hill Unified has been selected as a Knowledge Development Site for the model.
