Participants will learn the importance of self-regulation in the classroom for students of all levels and a research-based intervention to supplement school-wide RTI services. The presenters will not only discuss the problem, lack of self-regulation curriculum, but also provide the solution, Toolbox. Additionally, the impact of parental involvement in implementing this social and emotional learning curriculum will be discussed. The expected outcome is to provide school psychologists with an evidence-based intervention that can be used in all tier levels. The goal of Toolbox is to “improve student engagement and learning.” Through this easy to implement and effective intervention, school psychologists can provide a service to students in the least restrictive environment and across all tiers of the RTI model.
