The connection between student’s social emotional development academic performance and behavior is indisputable, yet, the movement has not taken off as expected with the majority of the barriers of implementation resting at the MTSS Tier I level. This workshop we will discuss how school can establish such services, the challenges and successes encountered. Participants will be exposed to the process of data integration of universal screening, progress monitoring and other resources.
Dr. Achilles N. Bardos, is Professor in the School of Applied Psychology and Counselor Education at the University of Northern Colorado. Bardos has published many articles and book chapters, and presented over 100 papers and workshops at national and international conferences. As a Senior Research Scientist with the Devereux Foundation, he assisted with the development of the Devereux Scales of Mental Disorders, the Devereux School Behavior Rating Scale, the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment and Devereux Early Childhood Behavior Rating Scale.
